91. scariest experience in my life

CAMP DAY 3

Today, I had the scariest experience I've ever experienced in my life.

Forgive me, I'm not much of a dare-devil. Canoeing was the scariest experience of my life.

I barely enjoyed the scenery due to the fact of fear that the kayak might tip over anytime soon.

I don't know what was wrong with me. I mean.
I have experienced doing other water sports before, like Banana Boat.

And Flying fish

And these floating devices DID tip over while we were on them.

But on the kayak today, I have never felt so much fear in me. SERIOUSLY. Maybe because the life jacket that I had didn't really feel so secure? It wasn't even a jacket. It was like a baby-bib life saver that you just slip on your neck. Or maybe, because back when I rode the banana boat or the flying fish, I had my boyfriend with me. I knew that I was safe. and if the boat did tip over, I knew someone was going to pull me up back to save me.

*huhu* ... that was really scary.

I guess, I've now come to a conclusion that I should stick to playing Wii Sports Resort instead.

But I've realized.... when we live with too much fear inside of us....

we don't get to enjoy the scenery in this journey of our life.
... and most of the time, we don't always have security in what we venture on.

that's where we get the opportunity to face our fears. that's when we learn to be BRAVE.

  1. I hate kayaking for that exact reason - I might tip over and get wet. It's unexpected and who knows what might be under the kayak when it tips hehe :) Be brave though, you're right!

  3. I'm not a big fan of boats, so I don't know that I would enjoy kayaking, even though it's not technically a boat...
